Biography

Bank Janardhan was born in 1949 in Holalkere, Chitradurga, Karnataka, India. He was an actor, known for S.P. Sangliana (1988), Uppi 2 (2015) and Cyanide (2006). He died on April 13, 2025 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Janardhan's journey began in theater and was briefly interrupted by a stint at a bank, earning him the nickname "Bank Janardhan.".

Janardhan's health had been a concern since he suffered a heart attack in 2023. Despite recovering at the time, his condition gradually worsened due to age-related complications such as multiple organ complications.

His career spanned more than four decades, during which he played both comical and fatherly roles.

He was well-known for his comedy and drama roles in various Kannada films and television series.

Bank Janardhan was a household name in Karnataka, celebrated for his performance in over 500 films and several television shows.
