- Lived in San Francisco, Rome, London, Normandy and Connecticut before her novelist parents settled in the neighborhood of Tribeca, just four blocks north of the World Trade Center. Lucia volunteered at Ground Zero, after 9/11.
- Lucia was on her way to a catering job at a party for Arianna Huffington the day she found out she was Oliver Stone's first choice for the role of Karen in "World Trade Center". A few years later, she recounted the story to Arianna Huffington who invited her to blog for the Huffington Post, which she continues to do on a variety of topics, especially the value of arts education. Her piece, "Why Arts Education is a Matter of Social Justice and Why it will Save the World," has been quoted on arts and education advocacy sites around the country, cited in the California Creative Industries Revitalization Act hearings in the state senate, and inspired the Yale School of Music to invite her to deliver the keynote address at their 2008 biennial Music Educators Symposium.
- Received a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Harvard and an M.F.A. in Acting from the Yale School of Drama.
- She won the Jonathan Levy Prize for the Most Promising Actor at Harvard.
- While shooting "Lora" in Budapest, she made a strong effort to learn as much as she could about Hungarian culture and language. By the end of the 33-day shoot she was able to communicate with the crew in Hungarian, to the amazement of locals.
