Biography

Alfred Delacour was born on September 3, 1817 in Bordeaux, France. Alfred was a writer, known for L'affaire du courrier de Lyon (1923), Il diavolo a Parigi (1919) and The Midnight Stage (1919). Alfred died on March 31, 1883 in Paris, France.

He was Knight of the Legion of honour (7 August 1867 decree).

He was a 19th-century French playwright and librettist.

He collaborated with Eugène Labiche and Clairville for several vaudevilles.

In addition to his occupation as a physician, which he practiced from 1841,[3] Delacour turned progressively to the theatre.

His entry on the Base Léonore ( a French database that lists the records of the members of the National Order of the Legion of Honour) wrongly calls him Alfred-Charlemagne which was his pen name.
