Biography

Rosie Durac

Mini bio

  • Born in Limerick, Rosie is an Irish presenter, actress and singer. Since November 2025, she has been one of the founding presenters of the new Children United Today show, a new global daily news bulletin aimed at children. As of September 2026, Rosie has now presented over 100 daily shows, beginning with an episode that aired on World Children's Day. Rosie has also presented a Children United spin-off series of over 220 short episodes titled "What you need to know today" (or sometimes "News Bites") on issues such as the origins of Boxing Day, when to take down a Christmas tree, driverless taxis, what freedom of speech means, whether "Blue Monday" has any basis, the ongoing FIFA World Cup, and also on the resignation of the Prime Minister. Previously, in 2024-2025, Rosie was a regular presenter and reporter on the Sky News-FYI show, appearing in over 30 episodes and presenting the weekly show itself on 18 occasions. She's twice visited 10 Downing Street and questioned Sir Keir Starmer, the UK Prime Minister regarding the role of technology in young people's lives for an FYI Investigates: Who is Controlling Your Mind documentary that she fronted, and for a new FYI Investigates (about the UK Government’s ban on social media for teenagers) called "Will the Ban work?", that she and Leo Barnes (famous YouTuber br2) both fronted and which was released in August 2026. She appeared live in the Sky News studios on 15 August 2026 where she faced questions from presenter Gareth Barlow. Rosie took over the Prime Minister's Instagram for the day and her sneak peek behind the scenes at 10 Downing Street made the shortlist at the UK Broadcast Digital Awards in 2025 (Best Digital Children's Content). Rosie has interviewed Energy Minister, Michael Shanks about solar panels in schools, and done features on other issues in the green space such as biodegrading plastics, as well as phone bans in schools. Aside from this, Rosie has interviewed stars from film, golf, and stage, as well as upcoming social media influencers. She has also appeared on stage herself in productions of We Will Rock You, MacBeth, Peter Pan, Shrek and A Midsummer’s Night Dream and she starred as "Sandy" in a production of Grease in June 2026.
