Biography

Frank Emsley was raised in Alkrington, Manchester. At nine years old Frank moved to Knutsford, Cheshire, with his family, including his younger sister, Winnie. Frank is also celebrated for his heroic actions. At just nine years old, he saved a girl's life from drowning whilst on holiday in Tenerife. This incredible act of bravery earned him the BBC Operation Ouch! Series 10 Life-Saving Award and the prestigious Meritorious Conduct Award from Scouts. He was also honored with an invitation to the Queen's Parade at Windsor Castle, where he met the inspiring figures Bear Grylls and Ellie Simmonds. Frank also was awarded The Royal Life Saving Society award for his quick actions.
