Biography

Bruno Sorc is a writer, screenwriter, director and executive producer from São Paulo, Brazil. In cinema, he was a finalist in ROTA 2018 (O Céu Não Está no Mapa), worked as assistant director on the award-winning short film (Deus S/A), also scripted, directed and produced commercials for brands (Jequiti, Fort Atacadista, Nowports and Burguer King) and was the main scriptwriter for the documentary about TOTVS. He is also in the running to write a biopic of a great Brazilian artist, which he has yet to reveal, and has just released his first 100% auteur short film, A Valsa dos Ponteiros ou Algo que o Valha.

Off the screens, he is the author of 12 novels (Doce Desespero, Azul Celeste, Voando com Flamingos, etc.), as well as 6 short stories published by publishers (such as Sinna and Skript). Screenwriter of award-winning comics (Mojica Móveis and Sabetsu) with 4 HQMix nominations, Bruno also stands out as a poet, with more than 250 poems registered at the National Library.
