- Was a competitive gymnast for seven years as a child.
- Diagnosed with breast cancer following an on-air mammogram on October 1, 2013, and subsequent tests. During a bilateral mastectomy to remove the cancer, it was discovered that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes necessitating chemotherapy, radiation and reconstruction surgery.
