Biography

John Connolly is a warm, grounded character actor with a sharp comedic instinct and a strong improv foundation. Trained with Providence Improv Guild (PIG) and Kismet - and having performed with an Indie Ensemble for over a year - he brings a naturally affable, quick-thinking presence to every role.

He works primarily in the roles of approachable dad, analytical doctor or scientist, affable everyman, and corporate professional, often blending intelligence with an easy charm that plays well in both comedic and all productions.

John’s on-camera experience includes commercial projects, a student film, and recent narration work for Care New England’s HealthStream. He has also voiced extensive eLearning, corporate training, and PSA radio campaigns, giving him a strong command of technical language, clear delivery, and emotionally grounded narration. With over 25 years in laboratory healthcare and compliance, he brings authentic real-world expertise to scientific or professional roles.

John derives his inspiration from sound-based fun and is a musical hobbyist and plays many musical instruments with the bass guitar, ukelele and various percussion and MIDI based instruments at the top of that list. Known for his collaborative spirit and curiosity, John is continually sharpening his craft and expanding his on-camera presence across comedy, drama, and grounded character work.
