Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Halit Ergenc was born in Istanbul in 1970. After graduating from the Opera and Musical Theatre Department of Mimar Sinan University, he began his acting career. Throughout the years, he appeared in "Red Istanbul," directed by Ferzan Özpetek, and in Asif Kapadia’s film "Ali and Nino." He gained international recognition for his performances in "1001 Nights", "The Magnificent Century, "Babil", "Wounded Love" and "Lovers Anonymous". He is currently performing on stage in Death of a Salesman, produced by Zorlu PSM Productions and directed by Rufus Norris. With his strong stage presence and versatile acting, he is regarded as one of Türkiye’s most prominent actors.

He and <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm1868654/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Bergüzar Korel</a> became the parents of Ali Ergenç who was born on February 8, 2010 in Istanbul.

Son of actor <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm2383059/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Sait Ergenç</a>.

He began acting at Dormen Theatre in 1996 and landed the lead role in the musical The King and I.

Turkish actor who has acted in numerous films including Binbir Gece in 2006 and Dersimiz: Atatürk in 2010. The following year, he played Suleiman the Magnificent in the series Muhtesem Yüzyil.

He was awarded Best Actor at Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards, the forty-first times organization in 2014.

He married actress, Bergüzar Korel in 2009; they had a son, Ali.

In October 2024, he received an award for international contributions to Türkiye&#39;s film and television industry.
