- Tal Banin born on March 7, 1971 in the Haifa suburb of Kiryat Haim. He started to train in Hapoel Haifa's football academy and took part in Hapoel's childrens and youth teams and made his debut in the first team at age 17. At the age of 19 he signed a contract with the club that raised him, Maccabi Haifa. He played in Hapoel Haifa, Maccabi Haifa, Cean (France), Brescia (Italy), Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bnei Yehuda, Beitar Jerusalem and Maccabi Netanya. He was the captain of the Israeli National Team at the late 1990s and considered one of the best defensive midfielders in the history of the Israeli football.
