Biography

Carly Zelner is an American actor and producer based in New York City, known for her work in independent film, including Love Loaded. In addition to acting, Zelner co-founded A to Z Productions with veteran producer Alan Glazer, a film finance company focused on debt financing against production tax credits and incentives. She also founded Underdog Productions, an independent production company focused on developing and producing original films that elevate underrepresented voices.

Originally from Hell's Kitchen, she developed an early interest in storytelling through both performance and writing, gravitating toward character-driven narratives that explore power, identity, and moral tension. At Dartmouth College, Zelner studied psychology, public policy, economics, Italian and the arts. She has trained in method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and in martial arts, including Krav Maga. She has a background in stand-up comedy and improv, which informs her approach to character work and dialogue. She is working on publishing her first novel while continuing to develop and appear in independent film projects.
