Cordele Taylor II is a Houston-based award-winning filmmaker, director, producer, and cinematographer emerging as a distinctive voice in independent cinema. Raised in Houston, Texas, Taylor discovered his passion for filmmaking at a young age and developed his craft through hands-on experience behind the camera, editing, producing, and directing. His work is driven by a commitment to authentic storytelling and a desire to bring compelling human experiences to the screen.

In 2024, Taylor launched Junky Room Films, his independent production company, and quickly began building an ambitious body of work spanning documentary, narrative film, television, cinematography, and production.

Taylor's breakthrough documentary, The Tysen Knight Experience: The Art of Manifestation and Purpose, brought international artist and muralist Tysen Knight back to Houston to tell the story of his life, artistic evolution, and journey toward international recognition. The project became a deeply personal full-circle story, connecting Knight's early artistic history in Houston with the remarkable career he would go on to build.

Directed and produced by Taylor, The Tysen Knight Experience has earned numerous awards and nominations through the international film-festival circuit, including recognition for Best Documentary and Best Director. The film's success established Taylor as an award-winning filmmaker early in his professional career and brought attention to his ability to create compelling documentary stories with both cultural and personal significance.

Taylor has continued expanding his creative range beyond documentary filmmaking, taking on multiple roles across independent productions, including directing, producing, cinematography, writing, and editing.
