For episode "Among the Believers"

"For its ability to show us a country with complex political situation, for unprecedented access to part of its educational system with far reaching consequences and to the dedication the filmmakers have shown in the following the story the jury has decided to give CPH:DOX F:ACT Award to "Among the believers" by Hemal Trivedi & Mohammed Ali Nagvi.

[For bringing the story of] Mukhtaran Mai [who] bravely endured a lengthy court ordeal and eventual conviction of the men who had raped her. Her courage and persistence finally led to international media coverage and financial support which enabled her to open a school for girls in her home village.

For showing the difficult contradictions inside the Muslim world and the ability of civic society to resist the inextricable circle of violence. For giving the word to each of the sides when it seems that the dialogue is impossible.
