Biography

Lena Bookall was born in Brisbane Australia. At a very early age she new that her future was in the arts, at the age of 12 months, she bounced on the scene winning the most photogenic baby award in her town and then went onto appear in newspapers and magazines at the age of 5. Her first TV appearance was at the age of 9 where she was chosen to perform a poem on an afternoon children's TV show, she had the audience laughing at a young age as she sped through her first TV appearance at lightning speed, barely coming up for air. Lena started dance, singing and acting classes at the renowned Johnny Young Talent school soon after and continued on entertaining audiences both on stage or putting on performances in her neighborhood. At the age of 13 she attended modeling and deportment school and was soon there after signed with well known Brisbane based modeling agency, June Dally Watkins. Lena caught the acting bug more seriously at the age of 13 whilst attending Brigidine Girls College, she was cast in the school play titled "Ernie's Incredible Illusions", in which she played a boy and stunned the audience with her ability and commitment, she won her first and most treasured award, "Outstanding Performance", a simple but meaningful trophy that she still holds onto until this day, as it was the beginning of her life long passion for acting. At age 16, Lena was chosen from almost two thousand girls to join 15 girls on a 6-month modeling contract in Japan. Although the contract did not come to fruition, this didn't deter Lena as she became more focused on her acting career. She continued studying in her local Brisbane at The Queensland film and TV Academy and John Dommett Productions, she appeared in several TV commercials, and then signed with a Gold Coast based talent agency and booked her first TV show at the age of 17, a small role on the 90's soap opera "Paradise Beach". She then went onto play a featured role in the movie "Street Fighter". After several other T.V roles in her native Australia, Lena was soon lead straight to Hollywood. Since her arrival, she has been working away at making her mark. Lena has studied with many great teachers and made her way up the ladder from starring in small low budget films, to working in more reputable films, with more challenging roles. Lena started her own Production Company in late 2004 "Aqualinea Films". In which She wrote, Produced, Directed and Starred in the companies first film titled "Lana". She went on to Direct a music video for "Korn" guitarist Rob Patterson. She has remained true to herself and her passion for acting. Her goal being to work on Great films, movies that tell stories, that affect the viewer, roles that open your eyes to lives of someone else.
