Karim Mrabti (1990) is a Dutch-born Moroccan filmmaker. His work explores identity, memory, diaspora, and belonging, often rooted in stories connected to Africa, Europe, and the Arab world. He focuses on fiction films with strong social and political urgency, told by underrepresented voices. Karim has built an extensive practice as a producer, supporting first-time directors in making their debut fiction films. He is an alumnus of the New Producers Academy and wrote and produced the short film Last Shot, which was selected for the IFFR 2026 Tiger Shorts Competition. With his production house, Mohsin Films, he is currently further developing a slate of feature films while also preparing projects for his directorial debut. With his projects as a writer/director, he has been selected for the Doha Film Institute Script Lab and TorinoFilmLab.
