  • Paul Bouche is an Emmy Award-winning American television host, comedian, media personality, and television producer with a career spanning the United States, Puerto Rico, and Latin America. He is the creator, host, and executive producer of numerous television and radio programs and serves as Chief Creative Officer of Astracanada Productions, the Miami-based media production company he founded in 1995. He has worked as a television and radio host and comedian across the U.S. Hispanic market and Latin America since the mid-1990s.

    Bouche is best known for creating and hosting A Oscuras Pero Encendidos (1995-2001), recognized as the first late-night television show developed specifically for the U.S. Hispanic audience. The program originated as a local Miami production and was distributed nationally by Galavisión beginning in 1997. In 2000, the series was signed by Telemundo for national broadcast in the United States and Puerto Rico, remaining on the air for six seasons and producing more than 1,100 hours of original programming. In 1997, Bouche received an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his work in Spanish-language television.

    In 2000, Bouche launched the radio program Sobre Ruedas on WQBA 1140 AM in Miami. In 2001, he created and hosted the nationally syndicated morning drive show Arriba con Paul for Radio Única Network, broadcast across more than 40 stations.

    In 2004, he hosted the Spanish-language adaptation of the British comedy talk show So Graham Norton, produced in London in collaboration with So Television and Zeal Entertainment. In 2006, he hosted the Advertising Age Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards gala.

    In 2007, Bouche returned to daily television with La Boca Loca de Paul, a variety and comedy talk show produced in Miami and syndicated across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Latin America. In 2009, he joined Telefutura (now UniMás) as co-host of the nationally broadcast entertainment program La Tijera. In 2011, La Boca Loca de Paul expanded nationally in the United States and Puerto Rico through Mega TV and in the Dominican Republic, achieving leading ratings in key adult demographics. In 2018, Bouche developed and produced Offside, a sports entertainment late-night variety comedy series for television and digital platforms.

    In 2020, Astracanada Productions launched an exclusive YouTube channel featuring daily clips from the company’s content library. In 2021, the channel surpassed one million views within its first year of operation. In 2024, the channel generated approximately 3.5 million impressions and more than 500,000 views per month. In 2023, Astracanada announced the release of the original VOD docuseries Historias de la Televisión de A Oscuras Pero Encendidos, coinciding with the release of the Disney/Star+ docuseries El Comandante Fort.

    Bouche began his professional career working in production roles for major U.S. media companies including, Telemundo, NBC, ABC, and MTV. Through Astracanada Productions, he has overseen the development and production of more than 6,000 hours of entertainment content in English and Spanish for networks such as Univison, Telemundo, Bein Sports, Galavisión, América TeVe, Caracol Televisión, USA Broadcasting, Casa Club TV, and Mega TV.

    His contributions to Spanish-language television have been recognized with an Emmy Award in 1997, the Key to the City of Miami in 1998, and recognition from the Congress of the United States in 1999, which presented him with a U.S. Capitol Flag.
