Akil Wingate was raised in Syracuse, New York, USA. Wingate is a graduate of Howard University, where he studied Theatre Arts and the University of Bristol England where he studied Film Production. He is an actor, writer, composer and director, known for The Substance (2024), Coeurs Noirs (2023), the game show Leo Vegas (2019-2024), and Creepshow 3 (2006). As a singer-songwriter, he's collaborated on hits with David Guetta, Avicii, Robert M, Fonzerelli, Hardwell, and a long list of top 100 DJs. He lives in Paris with his husband Marco Michieli.
