- Toshitaka Shimizu was born on December 15, 1969 in Japan. He was an actor, known for Tokyo Godfathers (2003), The Cat Returns (2002) and A Tree of Palme (2002). He died on November 1, 2003 in Japan.
- Although fairly prolific, most of Shimizu's domestic work consisted of bit characters. He received much larger roles in dubbing, such as Sabretooth, Eddy and Fong.
- One of thirteen Japanese male actors to have taken his own life.
- Partly because of his suicide, the Japanese dub of 'Ed, Edd n Eddy' only lasted two seasons. Wataru Takagi took over as Eddy, but only for bumpers and promotional material.
