Dexter Spencer is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and writer celebrated for his commanding presence and sharp comedic timing. With a career spanning film, television, and live performances, Spencer has taken on diverse roles, including law enforcement officers, lawyers, ministers, and coaches.

Born and raised with deep Southern roots and northern connections, Dexter brings authenticity and grit to every role. His standout performances include Detective Richards in Mood, a compelling Defense Attorney in Through Jonah's Eyes, Reverend James Thornton in Mya Speller's Hell's Desire, and Coach Harris in League Dreams. He also made a mark in the Amazon series South Land Bounty Hunters as a rebellious motorist. Additionally, Dexter appeared in the Blumhouse/Amazon series The Bondsman, featuring Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Nettles, and three-time Oscar winner Beth Grant. In this short-lived series, he played a Landry County Sheriff's Deputy who, alongside Sheriff Ruby, finally arrests Kevin Bacon's character, Hub Holeren.
