With credits across genres and contacts spanning the globe, casting director Katie Griffin has handpicked talent for the likes of NBCUniversal, Nike, RCA, TLC, and Justin Timberlake, to name just a few. Leveraging her trademark ability to cast from wherever clients need her, she never fails to find the right person - or the right hundreds of people - for the most specific and urgent casting needs.

Katie cut her teeth casting studio feature films, national commercials and popular television series in Miami, but not before graduating cum laude from the University of Miami School of Music's rigorous Musical Theater Conservatory. Early in her career, she set her sights on something simmering just beyond the mainstream: reality television.

Relocating to New York, Katie helped jump start an entire genre as casting director of AMC's first reality series, Into Character, followed by work on hit shows like Cash Cab, What Not to Wear, and Whose Wedding Is it Anyway? She also cast Amy Schumer, Ben Schwartz, Rob Huebel, Bobby Moynihan and John Gabrus in early scripted roles while networking in groups with Nick Kroll, John Mulaney and Donald Glover as they were just coming up.

Relationships forged with major networks, production companies and ad agencies became the foundation of Katie Griffin Casting. Katie is a current member of The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Casting Society of America and Producers Guild of America. A staunch believer that empowered women empower women, Katie works closely with high school girls considering careers in the performing arts and she mentors at-risk children and teens through various inner city youth programs. During the pandemic shutdown, Katie hosted free virtual one-on-one sessions for actors to hone their auditioning skills but also for simple human connection during a very unsettling time in the world.
