Biography

My company Strident has been based in Belfast and Dublin since 2010 and has created more than 300 hours of factual television that has been broadcast around the world.

Recent productions include: "Hunting the Catfish Crime Gang" (1 x 60) a true-crime documentary for BBC Three; the feature documentary "Face Down: The Murder of Thomas Niedermayer" for BBC, RTÉ & Arte; "The Hum" (1 x 30) BBC One; "Bog Amach!" (24 x 30) RTÉ & BBC; "Rare Breed" (144 x 30) for ITV: "Ar an Slaibh" (24 x 30) for RTÉ & BBC and "Camán na mBan" (1 x 60) TG4 & BBC.

I also executive produced "Deck the Halls" (1 x 60) for Channel Four; "Saol na Feirme" 12 x 30 (RTE); "Hidden History" (1 x 60) RTÉ; "One Lady Owner" (1 x 30) BBC; "Litir Gra" (1 x 60) TG4 & BBC; "A Farmer's Life" (24 x 30) More Four; "Cops on the Frontline" (1 x 60) BBC and "Saol an Tréidlia" (8 x 30) RTÉ.

We are in production on "Burger Wars" (w/t) a 1 x 60 for RTÉ and two true crime projects, 3 x 60 for BBC Two and 1 x 60 for BBC Three. Also in production on three six-part series for BBC and RTÉ including the specialist factual project "Scéalta na Lochanna".

We teamed up with Atom Films ("Older than Ireland"; "The Irish Pub") to produce a landmark documentary, "Sins of Ireland" for BBC and RTÉ.

Previous projects include the multi-award winning "Brexit: Farming on the Edge" (1 x 60) RTÉ; "Trasna an Líne" (5 x 30) MG Alba & TG4; "Islam, Belfast & Me" (1 x 30) BBC; "Quitting Crime" (2 x 30) and "Barristers" (5 x 30) BBC.

I am a Law graduate and former BBC News and Current Affairs Journalist worked in newsrooms in Belfast and Westminster. Before establishing her own company, I travelled the world producing and directing a range of documentaries and factual output for BBC, ITV, RTÉ, SKY and Discovery.

Several of our project are supported by Northern Ireland Screen and the Irish Language Broadcast Fund.

Away from TV and Film, I enjoy yoga, martial arts, and spending time with my family and dogs.
