Josmar Gerona

Josmar was born in Girona. He had a very happy childhood. He was a shy boy, a little menace, but with a big good heart.

He realised at 12 y/o that his destiny was in entertainment. While waiting for that moment, he begun attending radio and TV courses. At the age of 16, he had the opportunity to direct and host radio programs. This happened in Radio Celrà and Radio Salt (Girona county radio stations), where he hosted a weekly program in the first station, and produced a daily program in the second one. After two years, he decided to try luck in television. It was in CB TV (Televisió Costa Brava, in Palamós town), where he worked as technical operator. In those days, computers were not used yet in edition and broadcasting of TV programs.

A little later he had a new chance, as a singer now, in the TVE program 'El Semáforo', by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador, in 1994. Beginning with this, other chances came. In 1997 he appeared in several TV programs such as 'Cita Con Apeles' and 'Moros y Cristianos', both from Telecinco. He also appeared in other media, national and international.

In 1998 Josmar signed for a record label ('Blanco y Negro'), where he published albums like 'I Love You', 'Angel Girl', etc. While building his musical career, he kept appearing in television (in 'Malalts de Tele' of Televisió de Catalunya, for example, as a singer). He also hosted a section in 'Toni Ruiz y Cia' for 'Canal 50 El Vallès' television; a weekly collaboration where, under the title of 'La Porteria', Josmar talked about celebrities. At the same time, he was also appearing regularly in clubs and discos.

Josmar returned to the radio in 2000 thanks to Los 40 Principales (in the early morning program Anda Ya), where he hosted a section called 'El Minuto de Josmar'. He was doing this for almost a year, since he signed for Radio FlaixBac in 2001, to collaborate in the program 'El Matí i la Mare que el va parir'. This project lasted 3 years, never forgetting his musical activity. His next self-produced record appeared in 2003, 'Girls' (Moder Music). In 2004 he acted in the movie 'F. B. I. (Frikis Buscan Incordiar)' directed by Javier Cárdenas, surrounded by many other well known spanish actors. All the players in the movie also produced a record singing a collective song and a sepparatelly song each. This record was called 'Los Frikis'. That very same year, the program he was collaborating with in Radio FlaixBac was buyed by RAC 105 radio station. After a name change (now called 'Freakandó Matiner') but the same format, he kept collaborating and even produced some short documentaries for the broadcast.

2005 was his last year in radio, since he can't properly develop his other projects as music producer, cinema actor and singer. In mid-2005 his new self-produced single appeared, 'Hot Boy', this time published by 'M. A. Nagement'. A year later, in 2006, he returned to the early morning radio program 'Rac105 Freakandó Matiner', with a new staff and new sections.

In 2007 Josmar made his first video production, the recording of the videoclip for the single 'Hot Boy', under his new production company Geromax Music Productions. This made him work intesively as video producer, his other passion, for the last two years. He even founded a TV channel in June 28th 2008, Seven Television, a part of Geromax. For this project, he's been producing and hosting several programs. At this moment you can watch Seven Television via internet worldwide. Programs like: Bienvenidos a Seven Television year 2008, Más que videos (pilot, year 2008) 7 News Special year 2009 (documentaries) and finnally, during the same year, a 5-part talk show called Seven Television Connection Time, that, due its success, it has been included in the UNIVISION website.

Nowadays... In late 2009, and following a fan petition movement, he came back to the music field with his new work "Ragazza" a CD Maxi single including four versions. Recorded at the 5 Grama studios in the city of Girona. The single "Ragazza" can be purchased online as MP3 since early 2010. A videoclip produced by Geromax has also been made and can be seen across the world wide web. From march 2010, Josmar also collaborates in the radio program "Versió Rac1" directed by Toni Clapés in RAC1.
