  • Dries Phlypo is a Belgian film producer and entrepreneur, and the owner and managing director of the production company A Private View, as well as Lemming Film Belgium and A Private View Media. His films have premiered at major international festivals including Cannes, Berlin and Sundance. His international credits include Inside, starring Willem Dafoe, and Mr. K, starring Crispin Glover.

    Recent productions include Dust by Anke Blondé, which premiered in the Official Competition of the Berlin International Film Festival, and Sea Sparkle (Zeevonk) (2023) by Domien Huyghe, which premiered in Berlinale Generation and received multiple awards.

    As a co-producer he has collaborated on more than fifty international feature films, including Reedland (Rietland) (2025) by Sven Bresser, which premiered in La Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival; Dirty God (2019) by Sacha Polak, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival; Cobain (2017) by Nanouk Leopold, which premiered in Berlinale Generation 14+; and Sebastian (2024) by Mikko Mäkelä, which was selected for the Sundance Film Festival.

    Earlier producing credits include Moscow, Belgium (Aanrijding in Moscou) (2008) by Christophe Van Rompaey, which was selected for La Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival. Earlier in his career Phlypo produced several acclaimed short films, including two Academy Award nominees: Tanghi Argentini (2007) by Guy Thys and Na Wewe (2011) by Ivan Goldschmidt. The short film Bad Hunter (2016) by Sahim Omar Kalifa was shortlisted for the Academy Awards.

    Beyond production, he operates the historic Sphinx Cinema in Ghent, one of Belgium’s leading arthouse cinemas. Phlypo is a graduate of ACE Producers and the international film business programme Inside Pictures and serves on the board of the Flemish Producers Association (VOFTP) and is a member of the European Fim Academy.
