Prisoner at the Auschwitz concentration camp and last surviving Polish member of the "Sonderkommando". The Sonderkommando comprised Jewish prisoners who were made to search the corpses of dead Jews for valuables (including extracting gold in their teeth) after the prisoners were executed. They then carried the bodies to the camp crematoria for burning.
