Biography

From 1986 to 1994 attended the Electrotechnical Engineering Department of the Yerevan State Polytechnic Institute. From 1987 to 1989 he served in the Soviet Army.

From 1991 to 1994 he played in the Major League of the «Club of the Merry and Inventive» (CMI) in the Yerevan Medical Institute (YMI) team. YMI was a team with a distinctive, meticulous, refined and lambent sense of humor and twice became a champion of the Major League in 1992 and 1994. The team played its final season in 1994. Founder of Sharm Holding (1991) and its general director (1991-2013). From 2005 to 2009 project manager of Yerevan magazine. From 2006 to 2011 Supervisor of "Arts Management" course in the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema. Member of International Academy of Radio and Television. Starting from 2013 he is the chairman of the Council of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia. From 2018 to the present President of the National Film Academy of Armenia.

Ruben V. Jaghinyan (born 28 April, 1969, Yerevan, Armenia) - Producer

Starting from 2013 he is the chairman of the Council of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia. Founder of Sharm Holding (1991) and its general director (1991-2013). Sharm Holding holds a leading position in the area of advertising and show business in Armenia. The Holding incorporates advertising agency, production agency and the production center, which deals with realization of so-called special projects. It is specialized in production and distribution of commercials, creation of brand new and original TV and radio projects, organization of concerts, PR campaigns, presentations and much more. The company has succeeded in creation of a brand new TV channel and a radio station, conceptual re branding of large-scale companies, production of documentaries, feature and animation films, production and implementation of theatre projects, publishing of magazines and catalogs and much, much more.

Ruben Jaghinyan is a producer of a number of entertainment programs (Armenian way, Armenian radio), TV projects (100 options, Red or Black, Armenian Cuisine, Garage), feature films (A series of Our Yard, Taxi Eli lava, Zemlyak, A Millionaire Wanted, The Fiance from Circus, Poker AM), documentary series of 24 already released films and many more that are yet to come. The series is about iconic personalities who left their mark in the national culture - people, whose significance has overstepped the boundaries of Armenia. He has also appeared as general producer of theatrical performances (Aida opera, Spartacus ballet, Bridge of love musical), music projects (Yerevan-Moscow Transit, Yerevan-Kiev Transit, Erebuni-Yerevan, YerevanJazz 70 etc.), TV projects for children (We know that you do know) and fashion-shows (ISIS, Style fashion house, Fashion Jazz Quartet).

From 2005 to 2009 Jaghinyan was the project manager of Yerevan magazine.

He is a member of International Academy of Radio and Television.

From 2006 to 2011 Ruben Jaghinyan was the supervisor of Arts Management course in the Yerevan State Institute of theatre and cinema.
