  • Tom Manders was born on October 23, 1921 in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He was an actor and writer, known for Bij Dorus op visite (1968), Straatje om met Dorus (1966) and Er zit een vogelnestje in m'n kop (1971). He was married to Anna Maria Josephina Hennen. He died on February 28, 1972 in Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands.

  • Famous for his cabaret show for kids, in which children could sit on his lap and sing a song. In November 1967 a 3-year old girl sang "Poessie Mauw" for about 3 minutes and everybody laughed. The scene with the girl is very well known in Holland, after it was seen on TV. The girl known as 'Het meisje van Dorus' died on July the 31st 2002, aged 37. Her death was national news.
  • His hit album "Liedjes Van Een Vriend" was released posthumously on 22nd of November 1986 in Holland.
