Marcus Mallard is an Oklahoman screenwriter, director, producer, educator, and film scholar. He and his wife, Leah Heitzke-Mallard, own and operate Mouldy Rogue Productions, an independent company that focuses on unique perspectives in visual storytelling. He is also a co-founding member of Black Curtain Collective, a mentorship-based short from production company.
Marcus serves as a co-chair for Horror Studies for the National Popular Culture Association. His academically published work includes examinations of The Walking Dead, Big Mouth, the Rocky franchise, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchises.
