A.J. Thompson, better known as A.J.T., is an Indigenous actor, screenwriter, producer, and stunt performer from Hugo, Oklahoma. A citizen of the Choctaw Nation, he earned a bachelor's degree in Filmmaking from the University of Tulsa, where he developed a passion for storytelling both in front of and behind the camera.
A.J.T. began his career producing and appearing in independent films before expanding into screenwriting. His feature screenplay Ghost Girls received recognition on the international festival circuit, earning an award at the Tokyo Film Festival and establishing him as an emerging voice in genre filmmaking. His work often blends suspense, comedy, and character-driven storytelling, drawing inspiration from the people and culture of rural Oklahoma. As an actor, A.J.T. has appeared in numerous short films, commercials, and theatrical productions. His stage credits include Darry Curtis in The Outsiders and Commander Andres in Lysistrata. He has also worked as a stunt performer on film projects, bringing athleticism and physical storytelling to his performances.
Beyond entertainment, A.J.T. has remained committed to community engagement and Indigenous representation. Through his work in marketing, communications, and development, he has supported initiatives that expand opportunities for at-risk youth and strengthen communities across southeastern Oklahoma.
