  • Julie is an award winning, Emmy nominated producer/director/writer and artist living in New Orleans. Katrina era-ish she relocated to Arizona and served as the President of ArtLInk AKA First Fridays Art organization and co-founded IFP/PHX, then served as the Co-Executive Director of IFP Phoenix in affiliation with the Phoenix Film Festival Foundation. Julie was recognized for her work in infrastructure and incentive development in the Film and Arts community. Advocating for safety in the industry garnered awards and accolades including the prestigious Governor's Art Award. Julie spearheaded hundreds of film/TV projects, PR campaigns, PSA's, music videos, educational/training series, documentary's, teasers and trailers as well as co-developed and hosted TV shows such as "Living it up in Arizona" and "Screen Wars." Julie serves as the Creative Director of Independent Voices Health & Justice Film Festival in New Orleans Louisiana with intent is to shed light on Indigenous peoples around the globe, amplifying the voices of grass-root movements and bringing awareness to human rights, social injustice and environmental violations through the art of story-telling. Julie is the owner of Naked Reel LLC and crafts a variety of arts and cultural awareness campaigns, serving as a cultural ambassador promoting New Orleans and Louisiana culture. Actively engaged with WIFT Louisiana, (Woman in Film/TV) and a variety of other organizations, she also hosts/produces a weekly Radio Show on WHIV-LP 102.3 FM related to storytelling, music and conversations with local & international creative's. Julie has also been a Hospice Nurse and wellness educator and advocate for nearly 30 years and creates balance as a Yoga Instructor when not playing with family, friends or dancing in the streets with her fellow Mardi Gras Krewe mates.
