Biography

Guitarist & keyboardist of the group Franz Ferdinand.

Grew up in Germany, hence the German lyrics at the end of the Franz Ferdinand song Darts of Pleasure.

Met his Austrian wife in Munich where both of them studied.

Speaks German fluently.

Was a part of the bands Embryo, Kamerakino, and the jazz band Scatter, prior to Franz Ferdinand.

I made it, you know, I climbed all the way to the bar [during the show] and I came to the bar, and I asked for a drink and he gave me water!

I used to love stealing cars when I was a kid but I don't do that anymore.
