Biography

Mehmet N. Karaca is a graduate from Istanbul German High School and Istanbul University Business School. He did internship at Repro Advertising Agency and Robert Bosch GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. In 1985, he started working at ONK Agency, Turkey's oldest and largest copyright agency specialized in literary and theatre rights and its sister company MAG Media which is founded as the subsidiary of the agency, a television distribution company which is the exclusive agency for Sony Pictures Television (formerly Columbia Pictures Television) in Turkey. In 1993, he co-founded Medyapim together with Yigit Sardan and Fatih Aksoy and produced many TV shows, series, and feature films. In 2006, he signed a contract with Digiturk and became the Chief Content Officer of the TurkMax channel, which was launched the same year. Karaca worked with Digiturk until 2009. In 2011, he sold his shares and left the Medyapim partnership. He continued producing at Bando Yapim between 2011 and 2015 which he co-founded with Müge Turali. Currently, he manages MAG Media, , also acts as chairman of ONK Agency. He created a new brand called ONK Content and started developing content created by the authors represented by the agency and pitching them to production companies, distributors and broadcasters. In 2024, ONK Content has started to take part as a production partner in some of the projects created as the next step in its content work.
