She was a writer, known for America's Musical Theater (1985), Happy End oder Wie ein kleines Heilsarmeemädchen Chicagos größte Verbrecher in die Arme der Gesellschaft zurückführte (1972) and Mack the Knife - Brecht's Threepenny Film (2018). She was married to Paul Dessau and Friedrich Wilhelm Werner Kurt Hacke. She died on 20 April 1973 in Berlin, Germany.
