Magnus Rösman started making music videos in film school and was with his very first music video nominated for Video of the Year, 2000, at the Swedish Grammis Awards with the music video to "Liberation" by Hardcore Superstar. The same year his video for The Ark's "It takes a fool to remain sane" was nominated for Best Breakthrough Video at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Stockholm.

For bands like The Ark, Rösman has continued to be a long term collaborator directing a large number of their eclectic music videos. Glam rockers, Hardcore Superstar and Sweden's biggest artist over the last 15 years, Håkan Hellström, has also made Rösman their close collaborator and director of music videos and important TV appearances.

Other prolific music videos from Rösman's hand is for example Turbonegro's "Fuck the world" from 2003. The Norwegian cult band chose Rösman for their first single from the album, "Scandinavian Leather". It is a film that shows the denim clad rockers in submissive poses in Helmut Newton-like manner in an Eyes Wide Shut-like surrounding. Add to that some explicit choreography from the Bukarest Ballet and a daring stunt and you have visuals to match the lyrics "There's a power line and I want to taste it. Tonight I'm feeling fine because I heard that that denim's back in style".

The music video to "Touch me" by the Weeping Willows features some of Sweden's most regarded film and theatre actors (among others Michael Nyqvist) in a group therapy session and "On the Radio" with Jay.Jay Johansson sees the stylish pop singer as an updated Ziggy Stardust being tormented by the flashing cameras of the all female paparazzi.

Coming from music videos and going into advertising for automotive clients like Mercedes, SAAB and Honda, Rösman was early on praised for his visual prowess. He has since then established a reputation as a very diverse director with a strong comedy reel. In Sweden Rösman is well known for having written and directed the acclaimed commercial series of more than 100 television commercials for supermarket chain, ICA. The series was extremely popular over many years and frequently praised and awarded. It is one of the longest running and most awarded television campaigns in the world.

IN 2007 Rösman co-wrote and directed the 6-episode television series "Häxdansen". It is a dark comedy that revolves around a female soccer team making a name for themselves in a village best known for having burnt the largest number of witches in Sweden in the 17th century. The clash between the strong female characters and the threatened patriarchs of the male soccer team and the city's politicians is fuelled by mysticism and interference of supernatural powers. Rösman enlisted all his favorite actor's from Dramaten (Sweden's National Theatre Scene) and the series gained a cult status and was nominated Best Drama at the Swedish Television awards, Kristallen, in 2008. The reviews were excellent and for example Norwegian newspaper, Aftenposten, described Häxdansen as a superbly acted piece of drama with a surprising plot and a tone that reminds of Lars von Trier's, Riket. Aftenposten gave it a 5 out of 6.

Rösman in 2004 made the 29 minute short film, Headhunter, set in the rainforest of Borneo. A Swedish journalist has traveled far off the beaten track to write a prestige piece on the last headhunter tribe. The more he wants to believe that he has found a paradise the more cynical the plot turns. The film premiered at the Gothenburg Film Festival.

In 2010 Rösman was made Head of Film at advertising agency Crispin, Porter + Bogusky Europe. In 2013 he was made Executive Creative Director at Valentin & Byhr and since 2016 Rösman is the CEO of world renowned design agency, Stylt, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
