Saba Yaqoob was born in Islamabad, Pakistan, to a family rooted in a small village near Chakwal in Punjab. From an early age, she showed a passion for the arts, particularly drawing and painting. Her family moved to Hong Kong, where she spent her formative years exploring music and the performing arts. She learned to play the melody horn, violin, and recorder, and actively participated in school plays. Inspired by the television actors of the 2000s, Saba dreamed of one day joining the world of performance herself.
After completing high school, Saba pursued medical studies, but soon realized that a lack of creative fulfillment was leaving her dissatisfied. Seeking to reignite her artistic spirit, she moved to France, where her love for art deepened. She enrolled at a prestigious art and design school in Paris, graduating with distinction. While honing her artistic skills, she also pursued acting, a long-held dream. In 2021, she landed the lead role in the short film Doodhpatti, directed by Javaria Waseem. This breakthrough was followed by her involvement in the feature film The Unraveling of Dahlia Brown and the short film Say No!.
In addition to her work in film, Saba continues to paint and expresses herself through various creative outlets. In 2022, she published a poetry collection titled Salted Wounds, a deeply personal work that explores themes of healing and emotional release. She is based in Paris where she brings a unique blend of empathy and multicultural perspective to her artistic endeavors, drawing on her diverse background and international experiences.
