Robert A. Palmer is an award-winning American filmmaker, television producer, writer, podcaster, and author whose career has continually evolved alongside the changing landscape of entertainment. Equally at home producing network television, directing independent features, creating award-winning audio dramas, writing books, or developing original comedy, Palmer has spent more than two decades telling stories across virtually every medium.

He began his career in unscripted television, contributing to a diverse slate of acclaimed series including The Curse of Oak Island, Expedition X, Hell's Kitchen, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Naturally, Danny Seo, My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding, and numerous other documentary and reality productions. His work has taken him across the United States and around the world, producing stories in challenging environments while developing a reputation for finding compelling characters and authentic moments.

In 2015, Palmer wrote, directed, and produced the award-winning independent feature I Am Alone, a found-footage survival thriller that went on to earn festival recognition and worldwide distribution, establishing him as an independent filmmaker capable of delivering ambitious stories on modest budgets.

As new forms of storytelling emerged, Palmer expanded beyond traditional film and television. He created The Potchki Audio Chronicles, an award-winning audio fiction series that blended comedy, nostalgia, and serialized adventure. The success of the series led to appearances at fan conventions, including serving as a featured panelist at Fan Expo Philadelphia 2022, where he discussed independent storytelling and the growing world of audio entertainment.

Continuing to explore new creative avenues, Palmer co-created, co-wrote, and co-directed The Swiss Traveller: The Great American Road Trip in America, a cross-country mockumentary following an eccentric Swiss tourist as he experiences the United States with childlike curiosity. Mixing documentary filmmaking, improvisational comedy, and genuine encounters with everyday Americans, the film reflects Palmer's belief that the most memorable stories often come from real people placed in extraordinary circumstances.

His passion for comedy and world-building also extends into podcasting with Ezra & Zeke's Wild World, a comedic paranormal series featuring an expanding cast of eccentric investigators, cryptid hunters, conspiracy theorists, and small-town oddballs. Alongside his screen work, Palmer continues to develop novels, nonfiction books, children's stories, and film-history publications covering subjects ranging from cult cinema to sports collecting.
