Worked as a professional photographer from 1994 to 2004. He has served as Director of Photography and producer on several feature films. He was also President and founder of the Academia Jalisciense de Cinematografía A.C. (2006-2009).

Director and screenwriter of the short film "La llama doble" (2010). For this work, he received the Best Director award at the International Film Fest of Valle de Bravo (2011) and the AJC Award at the 25th FICG.
He has also produced and directed documentaries and television programs for MTV and NatGeo. He has developed audiovisual content for major international events such as the 2011 Pan American Games, the 2010 Cancun Climate Summit, the United Nations IGF 2016, the coverage of the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis I to the city of Morelia, and more recently, a documentary publication project for the World Bank.
In 2010, he received Ibermedia funding for the production of the film La lucha de Ana, a Mexican-Dominican co-production. The film premiered worldwide in 2012, was selected for 40 festivals around the world, and received 23 international awards.
Screenwriter, producer, and director of the feature film EL PODEROSO VICTORIA. The screenplay received the Alejandro Galindo Workshop Award from IMCINE in 2011 under the guidance of Vicente Leñero. The film premiered at the Guadalajara International Film Festival in 2021 and received the Audience Award. It also won the Audience Award at the San Diego Film Festival 2022, the Audience Choice Award at the Chicago Festival 2022, the Special Jury Award for Best Director at the Ferrara Festival, Italy 2022, and the Jury Prize for Best International Feature Film at the Prague Festival 2022.
The film also received the CANACINE Award from the National Chamber of the Cinematographic Industry in 2023, the Silver Goddess Award for Best Cinematography 2023, and won in six categories at the Tokyo FilmFest 2023, including Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography. Most recently, Poderoso Victoria received two nominations for the Ariel Awards, the highest honor granted by the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences.
