Lisa Elaine Scott

Lisa Elaine Scott is a writer, filmmaker and lifelong human rights activist. After 10 years as a high school social studies teacher, Lisa began her production career in community television where she helped to elevate marginalized grassroots voices through independent media production. From there, she moved into the mainstream, and worked at the American Film Institute, E! Entertainment Television and other commercial production companies. She has collaborated with various social justice organizations to create media content on such topics as CA's three strikes law, the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign, adoption reform, instant runoff voting and the Northern Ireland peace process.
