- Jason's parents knew he would be a creative writer ever since he brought home a story in the first grade about an orange cloud that goes around killing people (possibly also showing an early mind for environmental themes). Since beginning his journey in screenwriting, he has penned five feature-length screenplays and numerous short film scripts, each sculpted over multiple drafts, and covering a variety of genres, settings, and themes. While his heart holds a special place for science fiction and high fantasy, he isn't confined to these realms. His creative repertoire spans thriller, action, comedy, and more, as he believes that impactful drama transcends genre boundaries. Jason's writing is driven by a desire to satisfy the age-old hunger to have the imagination stimulated, but also the hunger that pulls us inexorably to the most central questions of existence - to explore life philosophically, scientifically, and spiritually to better understand the human condition and potential. One of his proudest achievements is his feature-length script, Nomad's Spawn, which in August of 2023, garnered the Oniros award for Best Fantasy Script, a testament to his dedication and skill in the craft. To further hone his abilities, he completed the rigorous, 12-month Writing for Film, TV, and Games program at Vancouver Film School. This experience strengthened the tools he has to create stories that entertain, leave a lasting impact, and offer a glimpse into the complexities of the human experience... even if it's a story about an orange cloud that kills people.
