Biography

Over the years, Kissa has developed and produced films through international co-production structures, building a strong network of creative and financing partners across Europe. She has collaborated extensively with filmmakers including directors Veiko Õunpuu and Rainer Sarnet, cinematographer Mart Taniel, and other artists known for their visually striking and uncompromising cinematic language.

Katrin Kissa is an alumna of several leading international industry programs and initiatives, including ACE Producers, EAVE and Inside Picture being selected to Producers on the Move and Producers on the Move Toronto.

Among the most notable titles in her filmography are Autumn Ball by Veiko Õunpuu, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2007 and won the Orizzonti Award; The Temptation of St. Tony by Veiko Õunpuu, which had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010; November by Rainer Sarnet, which premiered in the official competition of the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017 and received the Best Cinematography Award; and Captain Volkonogov Escaped by Natasha Merkulova and Alexey Chupov, which premiered in the official competition of the Venice Film Festival in 2021.
