Douglas B. Davis is an American actor, photographer, and filmmaker. The son of a photography and video instructor, Douglas developed an interest in filmmaking and performing at an early age, appearing in church and school productions while experimenting with photography and video.
At age fifteen, he began his professional career as a radio disc jockey. He later studied photography in college under acclaimed photographer Keith Carter, an experience that shifted his focus from broadcasting to visual storytelling. Douglas went on to spend approximately twenty years working professionally as a photographer, specializing in fine art and traditional photographic processes.
He later transitioned into motion-picture production, initially working as a behind-the-scenes photographer before expanding into other areas of filmmaking. Douglas made his screen acting debut in the short film A Long Night (2023).
He continues to work in independent film both in front of and behind the camera, with experience as an actor, photographer, production assistant, and filmmaker.
