Biography

Juliet Rylance was born on July 26, 1979 in Hammersmith, London, England, UK. She is an actress and producer, known for Sinister (2012), The Knick (2014) and Frances Ha (2012).

Daughter of Claire van Kampen, a director, composer, and playwright, and Chris van Kampen, an architect, and stepdaughter of actor Sir Mark Rylance.

Nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actress for playing Desdemona off-Broadway at the New Audience Theatre production of "Othello" (2009).

Graduated from London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 2002.

Won a 2010 Obie Award for Best Actress, for playing Rosalind in The Bridge Project's off-Broadway production of "As You Like It", directed by Sam Mendes.
