  • Nathan Lanier, composer for film, television, and games, is known for his lush music scores for Lindsay Lohan’s Netflix hits Irish Wish and Falling For Christmas, his popular intense sci-fi action score for Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, and Apple TV+ Emmy Award winning mystery/drama series Home Before Dark from Jon M. Chu. He is currently scoring The Wrong Paris, a new Netflix rom-com starring Miranda Cosgrove - coming 2025.

    In addition to composing scores, Lanier is also a songwriter and producer. Lanier’s new cover of the holiday classic Jingle Bell Rock sung by Lindsay Lohan and rapper Ali Tomineek is featured in Falling For Christmas. His signature cinematic music brings dance to life for popular shows like So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, America’s Got Talent, World of Dance, Live To Dance and the Step Up and High Strung dance film franchises.

    Lanier has scored numerous feature films, including Universal’s Jem & The Holograms, Justin Bieber’s Believe, Max Steel, High Strung and High Strung: Free Dance. His music has also been featured on Conan, Ellen, Glee Live Tour, So You Think You Can Dance Live Tour, ISU World Figure Skating Championships, the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, and 2017 Carnival On Ice. In addition, he has written music for brands including Microsoft, American Express, T-Mobile, LG, McDonald’s, Ducati, the LA Clippers, and Korean Air.

    Lanier holds a Master of Arts Degree in Composition and Film Scoring from NYU and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance from Mannes College of Music in New York. In addition to composing, producing and conducting, Lanier plays the violin, viola, piano, and guitar. He has performed with Stevie Wonder, John Williams, Smokey Robinson, Kanye West, Macy Gray, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Isaac Hayes, Frank Sinatra Jr. and on such shows as Dancing with the Stars and The Tonight Show.
