Biography

Ewan McWilliam is a producer and filmmaker born in Hull, East Yorkshire, in 2005. His first breakthrough came through directing and producing short films during his first year at the Leeds Arts University, including River of Thoughts (2024) and Game (2024).

Ewan produced Reflections (2025), a full-length documentary focusing on mental health and neurodivergence, which won best documentary at the Pegasus Film Awards Film Festival, to spread the message that it's okay to open up and talk. He has also been featured at various film festivals, including his films Blue Hour (2026) and Bring It Home (2026).

Beyond his personal film work, Ewan freelances for the creative design and marketing agency Design Workshop Ltd and many clients. Ewan has also been extremely active in producing music videos for their modern-era work of the iconic synth-pop duo Soft Cell, known for their influence in the early 1980s. And, winning the Best Music Video Award at the respected Leeds Arts University for Okyanus Yaylali song Ignite.
