- Laurence des Cars was born in 1966 in France. She is a producer, known for Artificialis (2020), Les petits secrets des grands tableaux (2015) and L'oeil, le pinceau et le cinématographe : naissance d'un art (2021).
- Art historian and museum administrator, she is the president of the Paris Orsay and Orangerie museums. She is the daughter of Jean des Cars and granddaughter of Guy des Cars.
- Named on 26 May 20121, president of the Louvre, she is the first woman in 228 years to head that museum. She'll b3egin her new job on 1 September.
