Mini bio

  • Wade Radford describes himself as a Folk(ish) poet & guerrilla filmmaker. Mainly known for his contribution to low/no-budget cinema of the 2010's, he is probably best known for his portrayal of Kayden 'Quinn' Daydream in the ferocious 2014 indie film 'TWINK'. Between 2012-2019 Wade put out an incredible amount of independent and controversial films.

As a zine-maker he has created nearly 100 independently produced and distributed zines including poetry, polaroid photography, his 'Dear...' series, 'The Busby & Me' and his investigative zine 'The Last Desert Sun', that focuses on the life of Manson Family member Paul Watkins.

In 2025 he returned with his new award-winning documentary 'The Busby & Me' about North Yorkshire's haunting of the Busby Stoop Inn. In the background he continues to make avant-garde short films, employing his old Video8, shot on video media format.

Trivia

  • Brother of Shabby Katchadourian, who's credits include "Hilary & Jackie" & "Big Brother".
  • Close friends with 80's Punk Singer & star of 'Scrubbers' (1983) Honey Bane. Honey's songs can be heard in Wade's films 'Sex, Lies & Depravity' (2012) & 'More Sex, Lies & Depravity' (2013).
  • Uses social activism through his poetry.
  • In 2020 Wade launched 'BedlamBD' a home grown distribution label that meant he'd have no reliance on big corporate distributors. He has reissued most of his archived works on special/limited editions and also sells his writing and art work under this Suffolk label. He rejects most offers of partnership releases and a describes his label as a DIY effort.
  • Released the book 'Busby & Me' in 2024. The book was about lost footage from nearly two decades ago, of a documentary he'd made about the curious and paranormal goings on at the Busby Stoop Inn, North Yorkshire.
