Laura is a professional makeup artist whose inspiration began with her love of art. What started as painting and drawing on canvas naturally evolved into working on living canvases-faces and bodies.
Her training began in 1982 when she attended beauty school in California. After starting her career in a salon there, Laura moved to Hawaii in 1986, where she worked at various makeup counters, head-shot studios, and freelance positions before discovering her true passion-film and television.
Throughout her career, Laura has remained committed to growth and innovation, continually expanding her skills through ongoing classes and workshops to stay current in the ever-evolving beauty industry.
In 2000, she became a proud member of I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees). Her artistry has spanned multiple mediums, including fashion, photography, retail, print and advertising, weddings, stage, opera, and ultimately film and television.
Laura's career has been remarkably diverse, encompassing beauty, special effects, hair, and photography. With a heart for teaching, she has mentored many emerging artists and shared her knowledge through various workshops and classes. Her passion for artistry-and for inspiring others-continues to define her work.
