Farhan Jamalvy is an award-winning Pakistani-Canadian fiction writer, filmmaker, photographer and playwright based in Toronto.
A recipient of Germany's CrossCulture Fellowship, he's been a resident filmmaker at Konrad Wolf Film University in Babelsberg.
Jamalvy's experimental play, Kafka in Karachi, bagged the best original theatre trophy at Pakistan Media Awards.
His contemporary piece, Comma, won a top prize at Poland's international short story competition.
A journalist-turned-filmmaker, Jamalvy writes absurd, black comedy dramas with elements of magic realism.
His work has appeared in English, German, Polish and Urdu translations.
