Biography

Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Television Producer/Director, Andrea "Drey" Stockert, started scuba diving in San Carlos, Mexico in 1988. By the early nineties, she was teaching scuba at Dive N' Surf in Redondo Beach, CA. In 1994, Drey began working as a safety diver and dive master on feature films, commercials and music videos... including Lethal Weapon 3, The Perfect Storm and Pirates of the Caribbean.

In 1998, Stockert led a crew of divers through Central America and the Middle East to shoot an ocean-based television series for Animal Planet. Since then, she has amassed Producer, Director & Writer credits that can be found on The Travel Channel, Discovery, Showtime, The Speed Channel & TLC.

In 2020, Stockert co-founded "Modern Myth Television" with Producer/Showrunner, M.J. Loheed. The company focuses on creating compelling content with breakout talent.

Drey is the co-founder of 'The Ocean Lab', a non-profit 501(c)3, which is committed to bringing live-streaming ocean science expeditions into classrooms all over the world with traditional and 360 video formats. She was inducted into Women Divers Hall of Fame in 2001.
