Biography

Stacy White Cleaveland received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and has been actively working her triple-threat skills ever since. As a director, musical director, performer and teacher she has worked with 725 Broadway Theatre (NYC), Mill Mountain Theatre (VA), Jewish Ensemble Theatre, Heart of the Hills Senior Players, Macomb Performing Arts Center, Michigan State University and multiple schools in the Detroit Metro area, including the Warren Consolidated School of the Performing Arts (WCSPA). At Meadow Brook Theatre she has served as Music Director on multiple shows and her onstage MBT portrayal of Patty Andrews in The Sisters of Swing garnered her the 2007 Wilde Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Other recent regional acting credits include Agnes in I Do, I Do at the Jewish Ensemble Theatre. A member of Actor's Equity and SAG-AFTRA One Union, she has appeared in numerous industrial films, TV and radio commercials, and can be heard as the voice for Ford Cares "Warriors in Pink" commercials. As Artistic Director for Peanut Gallery Players, she teaches classes in Musical Theatre, Stage and Film Acting, Voice and Piano in addition to directing the workshop and Mainstage productions. She was nominated for Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2000, 2001 and 2004.
