I have been writing electronic music since I was about fifteen years old. My influences draw heavily from synth pop, gothic rock, 80's new wave, dance, electronic ambient and cinematic styles. I have also forever been inspired by the music of film. Bernard Herrmann, John Williams, Vangelis, Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith, Howard Shore, Danny Elfman, Elmer Bernstein, Niño Rota, and on and on... there really are far too many talented composers to mention, but these are some of the people who have inspired me to become a composer.
I count myself as a fortunate soul, in that I have been able to make a living writing music for much of my life. For me there is no greater artistic collaboration than film, and the composer that supports a film carries with them a responsibility that cannot be expressed in any language. It is the music that binds the pictures to the story and provides the landscape with the materials from which we build imagination.
